A shocking experience - our car skidded!!!

It has been drizzling when we left Kuching at 4.30am, on Sunday, 1st February 2009. We were on the way back to Miri. At around 7.10am, our car skidded at a sharp corner after we passed the Pakit Camp. The car skidded into a big drain. We are very fortunate that we are safe and no one was injured. There was no serious damaged to the car too, only the bumper dented a little. It happened within a few second and I thought that I was in a dream (I was shocked and lost). It took a few minutes for me to realise what actually happened then only I slowly crawled out of the car. A young boy who was on his way to attend the Sunday mass stopped by and helped us to call for a towing lorry from Sri Aman to pull the car out of the big drain. It took about 15 minutes for the towing lorry to reach at the incident's place and we were lucky that everything went well. We paid for the towing service, checked on the car and then drove to a nearby kampung to wash off all the mud on the tyres (which were fully covered by mud) at the passengers' seats, we resumed our journey back to Miri at around 8.30am.

This was really a shocking experience in my entire life. Our life is so fragile and it can be taken away without us knowing it. We should be thankful of what we have and appreciate everyone that we loved.
