Song lyrics:Terakhir and Dinda - Mahkota Band

Now, I am watching Na O Mei, the Malay drama which is on TV3's Akasia slot from 6.30pm-7.30pm, Monday to Thursday. The songs play in this drama are very touching and very much related to the story lines.

The songs are:
Bisikan Rindu by Han [Malaysian singer from reality TV show, OIM3]
Dinda by Mahkota Band [Indonesian band]
Terakhir by Mahkota Band [Indonesian band]
Dosakah Aku by Nidji [Indonesian band]
Hidupmu Hidupku by ZIGAZ [Indonesian band]

Lyric of Terakhir -Mahkota Band
Untuk terakhir kali
Ku ingin bertemu
Memelukmu
Menjagamu

Meski aku tak akan pernah
Bisa lagi melihatmu
Cinta ini takkan hilang
Sampai mati kan ku simpan

Kerna hati ini tak mungkin bersatu
Menjalani cinta ini

Meski aku
Takkan pernah
Bisa lagi melihat mu
Cinta ini
Takkan hilang
Sampai mati kan ku simpan

Meski aku takkan pernah bisa lagi
Melihat mu
Cinta ini
Takkan hilang
Sampai mati kan ku simpan

Meski aku takkan pernah bisa lagi
Melihatmu
Cinta ini
Takkan hilang sampai mati kan ku simpan

=============================
Lyric of Dinda - Mahkota Band
Dinda
ku ingin bertemu
Meski tak tahu engkau di mana
Di sini ku dingin tanpamu

Dinda.. dengar
Aku merindukan dirimu

Dinda.. dengar
Ku ingin selalu menemani mu

Dulu kau selalu tersenyum
Ku taruhkan nyawaku untukmu
Dan kini ku hidup tanpamu

Dinda.. dengar
Aku merindukan dirimu

Dinda.. dengar
Ku ingin selalu menemani mu

Dinda.. dengar
Aku merindukan dirimu

Dinda.. dengar
Ku ingin selalu menemani mu
Dinda

You are my keepers

Your are my keepers

A friend of mine forwarded this to me today. It is what we faces in our everyday life, sometimes we just take life for granted till we lost and missed it!

One day a woman's husband died, and on the clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there is not "anymore". No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute."

Sometimes what we care about the most gets all used and goes away, never to return before we can say good bye, say "I love you." So while we have it, it is best we love it, care for it, fix it when it is broken and heal it when it is sick. This is true for marriage.... and old cars.... friend who have hurt you and turned against you for reason; children with bad habits and report cards, and dogs with bad hips, and aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.

Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a sister-in-law after divorce. There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.

Life is important, like people we know who are special.. And so, we keep them close!

Live today because tomorrow is not promised.

Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning to dance in the rain!

I received this from someone who thought I was a "keeper"! Then I sent it to the people I think of in the same way.. Now it's your turn to send this to people who are "keepers" in your life.

Live today because tomorrow is not promised.

The colorful Rangoon Creeper in my garden

The scientific name: Quisqualis indica

Common name: Burma creeper, Chinese honeysuckle, Rangoon creeper

Yes, my Rangoon creeper flowering again. They added colour and nice fragrant to my garden especially in the morning and everning.

I am bored!

The weather is very hot and humid. There are still lots of open burning around my area. Not sure when the developers going to stop destroying the environment and pollute the air. I am feeling sick of breathing in the smokey air everyday.

My weekend was very quiet and I am bored!
Actually, my life has changed a little this month. There were a few things that I least expected to happen and it happened to me. I was deeply hurt, sad and devastated but nothing I can do to change the situation. My life journey, no matter it is sweet, bitter or sour experience of life..... life goes on. Good thing that, I am still having my faith and stay strong in facing this difficult moment. Yea, nobody can makes me happy except me and myself! Maybe it is true that if your life is smooth sailing then you are at the wrong path...

Some questions that popped into my mind:
Do I need to make a change in my life?
Maybe I should go for a change in some of the routine in my life?
Maybe I have been living the same type of life?
Maybe I should go for holiday to relax my mind but where to go?
[Wish professional staff can take their sabbatical leave like the academic staff so that I can take short course to acquire new skill or knowledge. Mmmmm, sad because no sabbatical leave is entitled for the professional staff at this moment.]
Or look for a new hobby, register for a language class, etc.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggggghhhhh....
It is just boring!!!

No plastic bags day!

No Plastic Bag Day campaign in Miri started on 6th September 2009 when the Miri City Council announced that Sunday is a "No Plastic Bag Day". The campaign being widely spread around town and the participate shopping malls strictly imposed No Plastic Bag to shoppers too. This helped to instill awareness among the society. It is a good going green initiative in helping to save our environment and planet.

This campaign is part of the Miri City Council's Local Agenda 21. These were the poster when the campaign was first introduced.

For year 2010, this campaign has includes Friday and Saturday as No Plastic Bags Day too. It is a 3 days No Plastic Bags Day in Miri now.
Recently, it has been announced that starting from May 2o10, there will be totally No Plastic Bags Day for every day. It will be plasticless when you are shopping at the participate shopping malls or shops.
[Reference: The Miri Resort City]

When this campaign first being introduced, I felt awkward because I am not use to bring my own shopping bags. Within the first few months, I always forget about the campaign and I either left the shop with disappointment by not buying anything after drove all the way to shop or I will end up paid 20 cents for the plastic bag. Whenever this happened, I feel guilty that I do not play my part in helping the environment. In order to ensure that I am aware of the campaign, I keep a reminder in my mobile phone. It is a change in my shopping routine and I am aware of the No Plastic Bags Day campaign too. Now, I always put shopping bags inside my car.

At work, Turn Off Go Green is the initiative in our Go Green Campaign throughout the campus. It just started last week, and everyone is being advised to switch off the light or electricity whenever it is not in use. We need to start somewhere to instill the awareness to save our environment. I hope this campaign will be a success soon.

At home, I switch off the lights and plug off other electrictronic devices when I am not using them.

A few quotes on Environment:
The earth we abuse and the living things we kill will, in the end, take their revenge; for in exploiting their presence we are diminishing our future. ~Marya Mannes, More in Anger, 1958

And Man created the plastic bag and the tin and aluminum can and the cellophane wrapper and the paper plate, and this was good because Man could then take his automobile and buy all his food in one place and He could save that which was good to eat in the refrigerator and throw away that which had no further use. And soon the earth was covered with plastic bags and aluminum cans and paper plates and disposable bottles and there was nowhere to sit down or walk, and Man shook his head and cried: "Look at this Godawful mess." ~Art Buchwald, 1970

Till now man has been up against Nature; from now on he will be up against his own nature. ~Dennis Gabor, Inventing the Future, 1964

When we heal the earth, we heal ourselves. ~David Orr

Man has been endowed with reason, with the power to create, so that he can add to what he's been given. But up to now he hasn't been a creator, only a destroyer. Forests keep disappearing, rivers dry up, wild life's become extinct, the climate's ruined and the land grows poorer and uglier every day. ~Anton Chekhov, Uncle Vanya, 1897

Nice notes

1. When Snake is alive, Snake eats Ants. When Snake is dead, Ants eat Snake.
Time can turn at any time. Don't neglect anyone in your life......... ...

2. Never make the same mistake twice, There are so many new ones, Try a different one each day.

3. A good way to change someone's attitude is to change our own. Because, the same sun melts butter, also hardens clay! Life is as we think, so think beautifully.

4. Life is just like a sea, we are moving without end.
Nothing stays with us,
what remain is just the memories of some people who touched us as Waves.

5. Whenever you want to know how rich you are? Never count your currency, just try to Drop a Tear and count how many hands reach out to WIPE that- that is true richness.

6. Heart tells the eyes see less, because you see and I suffer lot..
Eyes replied, feel less because you feel and I cry a lot.

7. Never change your originality for the sake of others, because no one can play your role better than you. So be yourself, because whatever you are, YOU are the best.

8. Baby mosquito came back after 1st time flying.
His dad asked him "How do you feel?"
He replied "It was wonderful, everyone was clapping for me!"
Now thats what I call Positive Attitude.

Listen first before assuming

This being circulated to my email today. It is very true that in our everyday life we sometimes tend to assume without wanting to listen first. This could happen at home, at work or anywhere else where people jump into conclusions and not listen!

The most basic and powerful way to connect to another person is to listen, just listen. Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our attention, a loving silence often has far more power to heal and to connect than the most well-intentioned words.

So..... true
I Have a Drinking Problem!
DO NOT ASSUME TOO MUCH............

Where is the love?

Recently, there are getting more and more news headlines of children being abused, attacked and killed. Where is the love? Sometimes those who did abuse, attack and kill them are people who are very close to them. It is just hard to believe when it is happening to a toddler. Are we living in a sicken society nowadays?
