Gosh, how time flies and August comes to end soon. It was only like yesterday that I am into year 2009. Let me recall what is the biggest thing that happened to me this year.
This year is the 1oth years anniversary celebration of my workplace and it also marked my 10th years anniversary (February 1999 - February 2009) working with the educational institution. I never thought that I will stay for long here. 10 years has been an enourmous experience in my life be it personal, family, friends or work. I have gone through all the difficulties and challenges in contributing endless effort, knowledge, wisdom, patience etc. from day 1 at work till now where the organization is being recognised and known by the community now. It is an remarkable experience to be able to be part of the pioneer groups in making it happened. I have learned a lot throughout the 10 years. I am growing with the organisation, making new friends, meeting new people, involved with change of management, devolution within the organisation, engage with the community/other organisations, strengthen networking etc.
I really enjoy what I am doing and I always will. I am looking ever forward to the next milestone.
I also see how this town is growing until it being established as a city in year 2005. I remembered when I first came here, it was pretty boring town in year 1999. Furthermore, with no friends and relatives around. It was only a small town with no big educational institution, no big library (only 1 municipal library at that time), limited shopping outlets, eatery places, entertainments, recreational parks etc. At that very moment, I was like wanted to pack my bag and went back home but luckily that I stay. Now, this city is my home. Strange feeling that whenever I go back to my hometown, I will eagerly want to come back to this city immediately too. Nowadays, this city is blooming with development into a modern business, commercial and educational hub in Malaysia.
