Trip to Penang (Part III)

While in Penang, we stayed for 2 nights at a budget hotel, Batu Ferringhi. Batu Ferringhi is very famous for its' Night Market and beautiful beaches. I went to the beach at the Rasa Sayang Beach Resort Hotel to watch the sunset with my niece and nephew. Eventhough the sunset was not as beautiful as the sunset in Miri but I still enjoyed watching the sunset at Batu Ferringhi beach.

Trip to Penang (Part II)

Penang is very sinonim with lovely food. There are variety of food which you just cannot resist not to have them. We had nasi kandar, pasembor, mee rebus, laksa and ais kacang. I forgot to snap the ais kacang as I was busy eating... hehehehe...

My niece, Auni had this. Her dishes were fried chicken and egg, vegetable and curry mutton.

Yea, this was my nasi kandar with kampung chicken, fried fish, ladyfingers and green vegetable.

My oh my... this pasembor was really delicious... the shop is located at The Gurney Drive.
We wanted to have it on 1st May evening but got dissappointed as the pasembor had finished. Not to give up too soon, so we went back again on 2nd May. We were lucky and had pasembor for lunch.

Trip to Penang (Part I)

I went for a holiday with my brother and his family. It was fun to be able to get away from work to ease my mind by traveling to other place. Eventhough it was a short holiday, 30th April - 3rd May 2010 but we really enjoyed the trip to Penang. The weather was hot and humid.

Penang is one of the states in Malaysia that I love to visit... Besides the food, there are nice beaches and other interesting places to visit too.

Macau and Hong Kong

My friend and I went for holiday to Macau and Hong Kong recently. We bought the AirAsia zero fare promotion tickets one year ago.

We flew Miri-KL-Macau on 28th March 2009. The flight departed LCCT at 3.25p.m and the journey took 4 hours to reach Macau International Airport. We reached Macau at 7.30pm (their time zone is similar to Malaysia). It was chilled in Macau and luckily we did bring our sweaters. After went through the immigration and custom procedures at the Macau International Airport, we went straight to the Money Changer counter to change for a small notes of Hong Kong dollar for the taxi fares. The taxi fare cost HKD62.50 (RM30.00) from airport to the hotel.

Mandarin and Cantonese are widely spoken here and I am lucky that I speak both languages. Macau is very synonym with casinos so you can find casinos everywhere from a small casino center to the big and famous casinos at Grand Lisboa, The Sands and etc. Besides casinos, there are interesting places to visit, such as El Senado Square, St. Paul Ruins, Cathedrals etc.

We boarded the First Ferry to Hong Kong and the weather on that day was cloudy. The journey took 1 hour.

Our accomodation in Hong Kong, double-decker bed. The accomodation cost USD34.00 per night. The room was very small and located at the 7th floor.

After visited Macau and Hong Kong. I find Hong Kong is interesting to explore and I enjoyed my trip very much. Eventhough it is a Metropolitan City but you still can see the traditional ways of life, culture, food, etc in Hong Kong too. I want to visit Hong Kong again soon.

Brisbane, Australia

I was holidaying in Brisbane from 25th December 2008 - 6th January 2009. I flew by Royal Brunei which took about 7 hours to reach Brisbane. It was my first time to Brisbane and the ambience was totally different from Perth, Western Australia. It is summer time in Brisbane and the temperature is not much different from ours. The hottest day was on 1st January 2009 with 39 degree centigrade.

At Point Danger, there is Captain Cook Memorial and Lighthouse which is situated at the border of Queenlands and New South Wales.

We also drove to New South Wales visited Byron Bay and Mullumbimby.
This are houses at Mullumbimby which are similar to our kampung houses.

Di atas koa adalah sebahagian gambar-gambar ang aku icangkn. Anakh manyak aku muangan gambar ka Brisbane di sia. Repo ugak la sabab bapaluang melawat ngan nanang nagara urangkn. Aku memang suka travelling jaji se ada ongkos labih ato ada promosi tiket murah, aku akan coba ambi kesempatan untuk melancong. Melancong menambah pengetahuan ugak bah supaya dirikh dalam nganali budaya, adat, makanan, etc., nagara lain.

Gik are aku memang heran damia la empat musim (panas, luruh, sejuk, bunga) di Australia ngan New Zealand koa lain dari Amerika, United Kingdom ngan Europe. Udah baajar Geografi di sikolah menengah baru la nahuie sabab ada hemisfera utara (northern hemisphere) ngan hemisfera selatan (southern hemisphere). Australia adalah daamp hemosfera Selatan, jaji empat musim ea adalah daamp buatn:
· Summer (panas): December – February
· Autumn (luruh) : March – May
· Winter (sejuk) : June – August
· Spring (bunga) : September – November

Aku ampus ka Brisbane buatn December, masa musim panas. Memang panas la. Tapi panas neida ka naun anakh nya aya panas dirikh ka sia tarus mao bapauh, panas ka naun dirikh anakh bapauh, tapi kaus’se panas koa tarasa ugak oooo!!! Musim panas adalah musim kamaro di naun, jarankg ada ujan.

Kabatulan aku ngaramus ka Brisbane masa Christmas Day jaji dapat ugak la nahuie jamae neida celebrate. Memang anakh ada rumah tabuka aya dirikh ka Malaysia. Neida nyambut iya untuk bakomo sabiikatn, sabaya kamaruk ngan ayungkn-ayungkn rapat ajak. Aktiviti adalah makatn-makatn, BBQ, bacurita ngan batukar-tukar hadiah. Aktiviti ea labih kapada kekeluargaan.

Di Brisbane, aku rasa aya barada di Malaysia sabab rami masyarakat Asia. Kamudak ampatdi Korea ngan Japan paling manyak ba’ajar di koa. Sobat (ampatdi saluruh dunia) anakh ibuh disabut agik, neida ea memang majoriti untuk masyarakat Asia di nagara urangkn. Jaji anakh heran di mae-mae nagara urangkn putih (western countries) ada Chinatown. Chinatown di Brisbane terletak di Duncan Street, Fortitude Valley. Se dirikh parati’atn urangkn sobat ngan tambi memang udah ama “go global”. Urangkn Vietnam pun rami ugak di Brisbane, badagang ngan karaja, jaji adalah ugak Little Vietnam di Brisbane.

Duit neida memang kayak ampatdi Ringgit Malaysia (masa aku ampus ari koa exchange rate adalah AUD1.00 = RM2.70) jaji tarasa maha se dirikh makatn ngan mali barang. Conto ea: sepinggan mee, daamp duit Australia 6.00 dollars labih kurang raga RM16.00.
Manyak masyarakat Asia jaji anakh susah mau ngago makanan Sobat, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Tambi etc. Makanan Sarawak, kolo mee ngan laksa Sarawak memang anakh ada la.

Tampat-tampat menarik di Brisbane ang aku lawati adalah Australia Zoo (ingat Steve Irwin, ang dikanali as "Crocodile Hunter", nyian la Zoo ea). Se iya masih idup memang meriah la live show ea ngan ne onggo di mini stadium daamp Australia Zoo. Replika 4WD ngan boat ang si makei daamp semuey siri TV ea ada dipamer di zoo nyian. Semua poster, card, souveniers etc., ampatdi well wishers ada dipamerkan tolen di koa ugak. Paling aku repo di Australia Zoo adalah nanang koala bears. Adoh, memang cute bah binatang nyian. Mengikut fakta, koala bears nyian bukan daamp golongan bear. Iya adalah daamp group Australian mammals, marsupials. Koala kahe muih ditamui di ampat states di Australia: Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria ngan South Australia. Perkataan koala adalah ampatdi perkataan Australian Aboriginal ang bamaksud “no drink”. Aktiviti koala siang ari adalah tidur kiatn, duhani makatn daukgn aka kanyang tidur agik. Tekan koala untuk nahuie labih lanjut tantang binatang ang cute nyian.

Gold Cost adalah sigek agik tampat ang popular untuk para surfers ngan muda-mudi. Ampatdi Brisbane City ka Gold Cost adalah daamp 2 jam driving. Dirikh ka sia dah ada manyak pantei ngan lautan jaji anakh aku lepak di Surfer Paradise nyian daamp cuaca ang panas. Memang rami urangkn ka Gold Cost. Se kitakh ang suka nanang “ikan masin” bajamur, muih la kasia….hehehehe…

Di Gold Cost ugak ada Warner Bros Movie World. Macam-macam aktiviti ngan mainan ada di theme park nyian.
